Reviews or Comments for 'The Askew Arms' (2)

The Askew is a stylish 'off the beaten track' bar offering good food, unique drinks and a laid-back atmosphere.

The popular pizzas, made freshly in a brick oven, are a cheap and tasty stomach-liner and the various continental lagers and wines are also a welcome treat compared to most other bars in this area.

Throw in some free live music and DJs at weekends and you have a pretty decent venue to spend some time in - whether it's your local or a tube journey away.

"Don't read any further if you are one of those people who think that pubs should never be changed, because from being one of the many 'old codgers' pubs on the Uxbridge Road, The Askew has transformed itself into something quite different. Take your pick from the following, oven baked pizzas, free internet access, comfy sofas, a regularly changing programme of art exhibitions, sets from local DJ's a couple of nights a week, a patio garden, those outdoor lampost heater things, newspapers, trendy young things arriving on chopper bikes ... You are probably getting the picture."
